Abigail Crosby ~ Pool Girl Of The Year 2023!!!

Abby started out with our company about three years ago and when she started, she impressed me from the very beginning with her need for knowledge. She was my only employee whoever decided not to come out of training and took an extra two weeks to make sure that she knew everything and knew it 100% before going in the field. Once in the field, Abby became a superpower. She was able to troubleshoot, solve problems and run a service route better than anyone I had ever seen. Soon after she decided to take her skills and start learning the maintenance and repair end of things. She was a natural. It wasn’t long after that, we opened our first retail location. Naturally, Abby has taken over, running it fully. She is not there at all trying to push products, but she is there helping people learn about their pools and understand a new way of solving problems. Abby holds multiple certifications in the field. She also has become my right hand and handles everything from phone calls to accounting to payroll. She is always ready to go and handle the field when needed. My other technicians can count on her to answer the phone for questions they may have and she will help walk them through any situation. At the incredibly young age of 23, being barely 21 when she came to us, she has shown that she truly is a diamond for this industry. I’ve had other companies try to poach her to which she has politely turned them down. Abby is loyal. She’s a hard worker, highly educated, and someone I depend on every day. There is no person more deserving of a perfect POOL girl award than Abigail Crosby.

This year, (2021) Kristen Melo of Preserve Pools, Summerville, SC, won the prestigious title. In response to winning the award, Kristen stated, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have been selected to receive the Pleatco Perfect Pool Professional 2021 Award.

I never would have thought I could be selected for something so honorable. I am so humbled and shocked to have my work recognized in this way by so many in the pool industry!

Many hours went into building my business and learning as much as I have,and it means so much to me that the work that I am so passionate about also resonates with others.”

Kristen continued by saying “I didn't get to the point I have without help.
